Entel Maratón de Santiago thanks Érika Olivera’s support
The Entel Marathon of Santiago expresses its pride and thanks to Érika Olivera, who met with the Minister of Sport, Pablo Squella, to defend the trajectory of our sporting event and advocate that its date of April 8, 2018 be respected.
“We are proud that one of the most important athletes in the country, such as Érika Olivera, passionately defended the Entel Marathon of Santiago, which in its 11 years of existence has become a powerful event for athletes and in a citizen party for Santiago that moves 30,000 people to do sports and hundreds more to support them in the streets,” said Francisca Aguirre, executive director of the eMDS, highlighting the sporting commitment of Olivera, which is why there is an award named after her for the first Chilean man and woman who crosses the finish line of the 42K.
Regarding the authorization to carry out the event next year, the director of the eMDS explained that “permit applications are already entered in the eight districts through which the circuit of the event crosses. Based on our trajectory and that the eMDS is considered the best marathon in South America, we hope to have the support of the authorities and continue to hold the biggest sporting party in Chile.”
