 ARTÍICLE 2º. Description of Routes and Circuits

 

The Marathon (42.195 meters) and Half Marathon (21.098 meters) distances have been measured and certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations (“IAAF”). The event has been accepted as a member in the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races(“AIMS”), and incorporated into the calendar of sporting events for the year 2019. The Santiago Running Race (10K) is not certified and reaches an approximate distance of 10 kilometers

 

Marathon (42.195 Meters): Start at Av. Alameda. – Bernardo O’Higgins in front of the Palacio de La Moneda (north road), following Alameda Bernardo O’Higgins to the west, Av. España., Blanco Encalada St., Av. Beaucheff, Gral. Rondizonni St., Av. Viel, Av. Manuel Antonio Matta, Av. Grecia, Campos de Deportes St., Antonio Varas St., Pocuro, Av. Los Leones, General José Artigas St., Chile-España St., Av. José Pedro Alessandri, Rodrigo de Araya St., Alcalde Jorge Monckeberg St., Av. Grecia, Grecia Roundabout, Av. Half-Marathon (21,098 Meters): Start at Av. Alameda – Bernardo O’Higgins in front of the Palacio de La Moneda (south road), following Alameda Bernardo O’Higgins to the west, Av. España, Blanco Encalada St., Av. Beaucheff, Gral. Rondizzoni St., Avda. Viel, Avda. Manuel Antonio Matta, Avda. Grecia, Avda. Campos de Deportes St., Antonio Varas St., Pocuro St., Dr. Roberto del Río St., Eliodoro Yañez St., Avda. Providencia (south road), Plaza Baquedano, Avda. Alameda.- Bernardo O’Higgins, to the Palacio de La Moneda / Culture Square.

For all purposes, the start and finish of the Half Marathon will be aligned with that of the Marathon distance, located on the north road of Avda. Alameda – Bernardo O’Higgins / Citizenry Square.

Santiago Running Race (10K): Start at Avda. Alameda – Bernardo O’Higgins in front of the Palacio de La Moneda (north road), following Alameda Bernardo O’Higgins to the west, Avda. Brasil, Compañía de Jesús St., Avda. Manuel Rodríguez Sur, General Mackenna St., Ismael Valdés Vergara St., Miraflores St., Cardenal José María Caro St., Andrés Bello St., Calle del Arzobispo St., Providencia Av., Plaza Baquedano, Alameda Av.- Bernardo O’Higgins to the Palacio de La Moneda / Citizenry Square.

 

The start/finish lines, and the routes and circuits indicated above, may be modified or altered in full or in part by the Organization at its total and complete discretion, with or without cause. Likewise, the start/finish lines, and / or routes may also be modified, altered in full or in part by the authorities, such as the Transportation and Telecommunications SEREMI, the Regional Government, City Council or any Municipality, or Carabineros de Chile.

 

ARTICLE 3º. Schedule

The activity will start at 7:00 am and the Marathon will begin at 08:00 am. Athletes with a disability, referred to in Article 5 below, will start 5 minutes before the 42K start. The maximum duration of the competition will be 6 hours, closing the finish line and removing all check posts and refreshment zones, leaving the circuit open to vehicular traffic. A vehicle of the Organization will follow at the end of each circuit as a closer and/or picking up any athlete of the competition that requires it.

 

ARTICLE 4º. Registration

Registration will be uniquely via the internet on the website www.maratondesantiago.com, through the form provided for this purpose, by completing the requested registration data, leaving the athlete officially registered in the competition only once payment has been made by credit card or other means of payment allowed by the Organization, and receiving the respective voucher by a confirmation email. This on-line registration can be done in the stages or periods that are defined below, and in accordance with the values established therein. In the event that the participant does not make the payment and / or does not complete the registration form, the registration will be automatically invalidated. Registration will be made by filling all the boxes that appear in the registration form, which must be read and accepted by the participant. The competition has a maximum of 33,000 registrations available for its three distances.

Registration values, according to period and race:

Marathon:

  1. Foreigners Non-Resident in Chile:

USD80, from September 3, 2018 until reaching the total number of registrations.

 

  1. Chileans and Resident Foreigners:

(a)  CH $ 30,000, between September 3 and October 31, 2018, inclusive;

(b)  CH $ 38,000, between November 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018, inclusive; and

(c) CH $ 42,000 from January 1, 2019, until reaching the total number of registrations.

Half Marathon:

  1. Foreigners Non-Resident in Chile:

USD 70, from September 3, 2018 until reaching the total number of registrations.

 

  1. Chileans and Resident Foreigners:

(a) CH $ 26,000 between September 3 and October 31, 2018, inclusive;

(b) CH $ 32,000 between November 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018, inclusive; and

(c) CH $ 60,000 from January 1, 2019, until reaching the total number of registrations. As of that date, participants can only acquire a registration through the Social Solidarity Marathon Program, for which the participant must select the non-profit corporation or foundation, of his/her preference, in the respective registration form, which will receive a solidarity contribution.

 

The maximum number of registrations available for this distance will be 15,000 participants. However, the Organization may, at its sole and exclusive discretion, increase this number if registrations of the marathon distance are released, and considering the public space available for the event.

 

Santiago Running Race:

  1. Foreigners Non-Resident in Chile:

USD 60, from September 3, 2018 until reaching the total number of registrations.

 

  1. Chileans and Resident Foreigners

(a) CH $ 22,000 between September 3 and October 31, 2018, inclusive;

(b) CH$26.000 between November 1 and December 31, 2018, inclusive; and

(c) CH$30.000 from January 1, 2019, until reaching the total number of registrations.

 

The maximum number of registrations for this distance will be 10.000. However, the Organization may increase this number if registrations of the marathon distance are released, according to what was previously indicated.

There will be no refund of the registration fees even if the competitor, for any cause or reason, even by the occurrence of a fortuitous event or force majeure, does not finally participate in the sporting event to which these Rules refer.

The Organization will not be liable and nor will be compelled to refund the registration fees in the case of the occurrence of a fortuitous event or force majeure that prevents the realization of the event to which these Rules refer. If by decision of the authority; Transportation and Telecommunications SEREMI; Regional Government; City Council or any municipality, or due to other reasons of a climatological or seismological order, or due to other unforeseen circumstances that force the Organization to cancel or suspend the event, the Organization will not be held liable and will have the authorization to withhold the payment(s) received for registrations to which this article 4 refers. If by decision of the authority, the Organization is forced to postpone, cancel or modify any of the three circuits of the event and/or relocate the start or the finish lines, or the place or places of provision of services, the Organization will take on the obligation to re-schedule the event to which these Rules refer when the postponement or cancellation of the event is ordered; and to modify the respective circuit and to setup the start or the finish lines in an alternative place of the new location. The Organization will not be liable nor will be obliged to refund the registration fees in the case of modifying, altering or changing the location of the start and/or the finish lines, the circuits or routes, indicated previously in the article 2.

 

CHANGES OF THE REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

CHANGES OF THE INFORMATION DETAILED IN THE REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE ALLOWED ONLY UNTIL FEBRUARY 28, 2019. IN THE CASE OF CHANGES IN THE DISTANCES INDICATED IN HIS/HER REGISTRATION, THE APPLICANT SHALL PAY ANY DIFFERENCE IN THE VALUE OF HIS/HER REGISTRATION. THE ORGANIZATION WILL NOT REFUND THE DIFFERENCES TO ITS OWN CREDIT OTHERWISE.

 

APPLICATION OF ANTI-DOPING REGULATIONS

THE REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION OF ATHLETES WHO ARE SUSPENDED OR CONVICTED DUE TO THE INFRINGEMENT OF THE IAAF ANTI-DIPING REGULATION AND THE WORLD ANTI-DOPING CODE WILL BE PROHIBITED DURING THE PERIOD OF CONVICTION. IF AN ATHLETE REGISTERS FAILING TO REVEAL THIS CIRCUMSTANCE, HE/SHE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED. 

 

REGISTRATION OF ELITE ATHLETES

FOREIGN ELITE ATHLETES CAN REGISTER ONLY AND EXCLUSIVELY VIA AN INVITATION OF THE ORGANIZATION AND THEY WILL NEED TO HAVE THE AUTHORIZATION OF THEIR RESPECTIVE NATIONAL FEDERATION. THE ATHLETE WHO IS REGISTERED OMITTING THESE REQUIREMENTS, WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE PART OF THE ELITE CATEGORY. APPLICATIONS SHALL BE DIRECTED TO THE TECHNICAL DIRECTOR OF THE COMPETITION, ACCORDING TO THE ARTICLE 16 OF THESE RULES.

 

PROHIBITIONS

THE RE-SALE OF REGISTRATIONS WILL BE, LIKEWISE, STRICTLY PROHIBITED, UNLESS IT IS DONE BY FOUNDATIONS THAT THE ORGANIZATION HAS PROPERLY AUTHORISED TO RE-SALE THESE REGISTRATIONS. THE PERSON WHO IS CAUGHT RE-SELLING REGISTRATIONS OF THE EVENT WILL BE PENALIZED, AND HIS/HER REGISTRATION WILL THEN BE CANCELLED, WITH NO RIGHT TO ANY REFUND AND, FURTHERMORE, HE/SHE WILL BE REPORTED TO THE AUTHORITIES. IT WILL BE ALSO PROHIBITED TO DELIVER FALSE INFORMATION IN THE REGISTRATION FORM, SUCH AS THE ID NUMBER, AGE, GENDER, POSTAL ADDRESS OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION REQUIRED IN THE FORM, BEING PUNISHED BY THE ORGANIZATION WITH THE CANCELLATION OF THE REGISTRATION, WITH NO RIGHT OF A REFUND.

 

CHANGES WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION

ANY PARTICIPANT WHO IS DETECTED TO BE COMPETING IN A DISTANCE DIFFERENT TO THAT SPECIFIED IN THE REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER HIS/HER SERVICE AREA. 

 

ALL THE 21K DISTANCE PARTICIPANTS (HALF MARATHON) SHALL RESPECT THE START CORRALS AND THE ASSIGNED STARTING TIME. IF HE/SHE DOES NOT DO SO, HIS/HER TIME AND/OR REGISTRATION MAY BE INVALIDATED.  

 

ANY PARTICIPANT WHO IS CAUGHT MISUSING HIS/HER COMPETITOR NUMBER, FALSIFYING INFORMATION, IMPERSONATING SOMEBODY ELSE OR CARRYING A NUMBER OF A DIFFERENT GENDER TO HIS/HERS OWN, WILL NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO PODIUM, AND WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED AND PUNISHED WITH THE INELIGIBILITY TO REGISTER IN THE EVENT FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE YEARS

 

ARTICLE 5°. Categories

All people, women or men, who are 18 years old at the day of the race will be able to participate in this event. However, athletes under the age of 18 and through 16 years old must submit the corresponding authorization signed by the parent or legal representative, and be accompanied by him/her at the time of reception of the competition number. In the event that the responsible adult cannot attend the event, an authorization signed before a notary public will be accepted instead, plus a photocopy of his/her identity card. Minors, that are, 16 or 17 years old, can ONLY run and register in the Santiago Running Race (10K).

REGISTRATION OR PARTICIPATION OF CHILDREN UNDER 16 YEARS OLD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN ANY OF THE DISTANCES OF THIS EVENT.

INCLUSION

In order to protect the safety of people with disability and prevent third parties from misusing the preferential conditions of the race, athletes who register in the category Women or Men with Disability must prove their status by means of a certificate from the National Registry of Disability or, if not available, a medical report as a proof of this. The Organization will contact each participant registered in the category of Women or Men with Disability to request such documentation.

 

ARTICLE 6º. Delivery of numbers, electronic timing tags and how to use them.

Participation numbers and electronic timing tags will be delivered to the participants in the Expo-Running, which will be held at the Estación Mapocho Cultural Center, located on Mapocho Street, Santiago, or in the place indicated by the Organization. This delivery will be made only and personally to previously registered participants, who must present their identity card document. The Expo-Running will be open from Thursday April 4, 2019, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm; and on Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Along with the number, an electronic timing tag will be delivered, which will record the final official time of each participant, according to the simultaneous start according to Article 3 of these Rules. However, and given that for the distance of Half Marathon a system of differentiated starts has been expected, the official time of participants will be for these effects the one that corresponds according to their differentiated start corral assigned by the Organization. There will be no obligation on the Organization to provide shirts for the event. In the event that one of the sponsors provides shirts for the event, it will be mandatory for the participants to wear them, except in those cases established by the Organization. Delivery of shirts, whatever the model, size, or design, will be done in order of arrival subject to availability, and up to a total number of 33,000 shirts. Size changes will not be made before, during or after the delivery of kits. The Organization will not be responsible for the quality of such sportswear, model, size, design or printing. Nor will the Organization be liable if the electronic timing tag shows faults or defects, since these devices are provided by an external company. It is suggested to participants to check the functioning of the tag in the Expo Running.

NEITHER THE EVENT DAY NOR AFTERWARDS WILL NUMBERS, TAGS AND / OR SHIRTS BE DELIVERED.

In the event that a registered participant cannot personally pick up their control number and tag, they may, however, do so through a proxy, especially by means of a simple power of attorney, and by showing the participant’s identity card with a copy of the single registration code received via email with his/her competition number.

The competition number must be placed on the participant’s chest, fully extended, without being retouched, manipulated, trimmed or folded until the end of the race. Participants must use the tag given, according to the instructions given by the Organization.

 

All participants must validate their participation in the competition at the moment of picking up their kit. This validation will be done by printing his/her fingerprint of the Statement of Disclaimer and Privacy at the end of these Terms.

 

ARTICLE 7º. Awards

Official participants´ classification will be made by means of the electronic timing system, therefore all participants to be classified must go through all the controls included in this system, set at the start, on the route and the Finish Line. Any participant who violates the provisions of these rules or engages in any of the prohibited behaviors in these, including not registering their passage through the aforementioned controls will be disqualified.

Santiago Marathon will have a purse in the amount of US $ 99.100 in awards for participants, which will be given by the Marathon Corporation of Santiago, once the participants have been submitted to drug control or doping tests, and their results are NEGATIVE, in accordance with the current regulations by the IAAF and / or the World Anti-Doping Code. However, the Organization will be prevented from giving awards to participants who have infringed the IAAF rules on sports doping control, are suspended or convicted for violating the aforementioned anti-doping rules, as instructed by the IAAF. Prizes will be split according to the following:

3rd Place US $ 5,000, plus medal and a commemorative plaque

5th place US $ 1,250, plus medal and a commemorative plaque

” ATHLETE ERIKA OLIVERA’S AWARD” (Women and Men)

1st Place US $ 1,500, plus medal and a commemorative plaque

2nd Place US $ 1,000, plus medal and a commemorative plaque

3rd Place US $ 500, plus medal and a commemorative plaque

Only athletes of Chilean nationality and residents in Chile will be eligible for this award, not being cumulative to the General Classification awards (Women and Men) as referred to in point a.

 

Special Bonds

Bonus sprints. A special bonus of US $ 1,000 will be given to the marathon runner who passes first at kilometer 21, and in a time equal to or less than 1:05:00, and crosses the finish line of the Marathon within the first 5 places of the general classification.

Running distance record: The award will be given to the winner, Woman and Man, who lowers the following time scores, respectively:

 Men

(a)  2:09:39  US$3.000

(b)  2:09:20  US$3.500

(c)  2:09:00  US$4.000

 

Women

(a) 2:28:18   US$3.000

(b) 2:27:59  US$3.500

(c) 2:27:30  US$4.000

The award to the winner, Woman or Man, who reaches the time score indicated in point (b) will accumulate the amount assigned to the preceding time score (a); and the winner who reaches the time score (c), will accumulate the amounts of the awards assigned to points (a) and (b) of their respective gender.

Awards are expressed and will be paid in dollars of the United States of America only to non-residents in Chile, by bank transfer. All expenses and taxes that may be applicable by the intervening banking entities or competent tax authorities shall be borne by the beneficiaries of prize money. People who claim credit for the aforementioned awards, and who are residents in Chile, will receive their prize money in Chilean pesos, national currency, either by check, deposit or bank transfer, at the exchange rate referred to in number 6 of Chapter I of the Compendium of Foreign Exchange Regulations of the Central Bank of Chile, also known as the “observed dollar”.

The athlete receiving a cup, a commemorative plaque, and / or a medal the day of the award, and subsequently, the results of the anti-doping tests were positive or have a suspension or conviction for a violation prior to these rules, he/she will be required to return such trophies.

 

All marathon participants who complete the course and cross the finish line will receive a finalist medal.

General Classification Awards for the three distances, that is, Marathon, Half Marathon and Santiago Running Race, are not applicable to participants with a motor control disability who use wheelchairs, and / or physically and / or visually impaired, who will receive their awards according to the respective Classification by Category.

 

ARTICLE 8°. The award ceremony

Marathon Winners: The award ceremony of the Marathon winners will be held in the arrival area, giving the trophies corresponding to the first five athletes of male and female general classification of the Marathon. This award will be the only one that will take place immediately after the arrival of the fifth athlete of the Marathon event, in a special ceremony for the media that will cover the event and once the time scores of the event have been verified, according to the official electronic chronometer, and after receiving the judges’ forms. Athletes who will receive the trophies must attend the award ceremony with their competitor number on the chest where possible. Money prizes to winners of the Marathon will be made once the Organization has received the negative results of the doping control tests and provided that the athlete has not been disqualified as provided in these rules

 

General Awards: The award ceremony of the Marathon will take place immediately after the time scores have been verified through the electronic chronometer and the judges’ forms have been received. Distances of Half Marathon and Santiago Running Race (10K) will be awarded on Sunday, April 7, 2019, once the Marathon award ceremony is over. The award of the categories will be made in the form and date indicated by the Organization, once the final results of the competition is defined. The Organization will not send by mail any trophy, award or medal to runners who have not collected them during the award ceremony. In addition, general classification winners of the Marathon, Half Marathon and Santiago Running Race (10K) will also be the winners of their respective category.

 

ARTICLE 9º. Obligations of participants

  1. The Organization will perform the doping control of the first six athletes, women or men, who finish the Marathon once they reach the finish line, without prejudice to the right of the Organization to do doping controls, to its total discretion to the first fifteen competitors. The Organization may order the performance of an anti-doping examination for athletes who reach the first three places in the Half Marathon distance, to its full and complete discretion. The refusal or avoidance, in any way, of the realization of this control after having been notified, will be grounds for immediate disqualification of the athlete, and an infraction to the anti-doping control regulations by the IAAF, and the World Anti-Doping Code.
  2. All athletes who do not wear the number clearly visible on the chest, who do not follow the course of the official circuit of the respective event – in which there will be control areas – or show unsportsmanlike behavior, among other behaviors, receive help, water, drinks of any kind, substances or food, from third parties that move, inside or outside the circuit, whether or not they use motorized vehicles, bicycles or other means of transportation, will be DISQUALIFIED. The Organization shall be empowered to notify Carabineros and expel third parties who are caught in these unsportsmanlike conducts.
  3. It will be a reason for DISQUALIFICATION to deceive the Organization either through the impersonation of persons, to run a distance other than that indicated in the registration form, etc. The participant who does not cross the marked control areas will also be disqualified; run on sidewalks or areas outside the layout of the circuit, including parks or green areas; who does not obey the flagmen, judges, commissioners and personnel of the Organization. It will also be cause for disqualification not respecting the instructions of the Organization regarding the starting corrals, registration times and other anti-regulation behaviors, the Organization will reserve the right to withdraw the registration number and expel him/her from the event. Boxing of any participant within the starting corrals without his/her registration number will not be allowed. Also, boxing within the starting corrals for the distance of Marathon will be done by registration time. The distance of Half Marathon will have separate starts according to the different starting corrals determined by the Organization, and these starts will be made at the full discretion of the Organization.
  4. For all the registered participants in the Santiago Running Race (10K), it will be mandatory to use the official Santiago Marathon shirt from the start to the end of the race, with the exception of professional or federated athletes, as determined by the Organization.
  5. Any participant who runs without a number does so under his / her own responsibility, without being entitled to any of the prerogatives to which the officially registered participant is entitled, and of course he / she is automatically disqualified. Notwithstanding the right of the Organization to prevent his/her participation in the event.
  6. Any participant who provides data or information that is not reliable or false at the time of registration, as to their identity, age, address or other information, will not be able to attend or participate in the event, will be automatically disqualified and will not have right to a refund of his/her registration by the Organization.
  7. Reselling registration is strictly prohibited by the Organization and will be sanctioned according to the law, preventing the acquirer from participating in the event, without prejudice to the sanction described in number 6 above.

 

ARTICLE 10º. Participant services

  1. There will be refreshment zones (hydration of water and re-hydrating) on the routes of the Santiago Running Race, Half Marathon and Marathon every 5 Kilometers, and at the Finish Line. The Organization may have special supply positions for professional athletes and / or federated guests, as required, according to numeral 3 below.
  2. The race will have an ambulance service on the route, along with 5 mobile stations that may have doctors and / or paramedics.
  3. Professional athletes and / or federated specially invited by the Organization, may deliver to the Medical Director of the event the special drinks that they wish to take in the provisioning posts, having to make this delivery before 09:00 pm of the previous day of the event. The content must be communicated in writing and, on these bottles, a label must appear with the name, number and supply position where it is to be delivered. It is the only provisioning allowed, not being able to receive any other type of supply during the race because they will be disqualified.
  4. The Organization will make available to the participants provisioning services at the arrival and Cloakroom (not being responsible for the objects delivered in it).
  5. The Organization will have transportation (“sweeper bus”) to transfer the participants who, for any reason, do not wish or cannot continue in the competition. They will be transported only to the arrival area. However, the Organization does not assume nor will assume any responsibility for such benevolent transportation.
  6. The Organization will also maintain, at least, five first aid posts in the Marathon circuit and a therapeutic massage room in the finish line area.

 

ARTICLE 11º. Claims

Claims may be made within 30 minutes of publicly disclosing the results, verbally by the athlete to the Technical Director of the Race, or to whom the Organization designates to receive the complaints. It will be this person who decides in the first instance. If the athlete does not agree, he/she may place a claim with the Jury of Appeal, composed of the members of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, located at Callao Street 2970, Office 702, Las Condes, Santiago, by means of a note, signed and accompanied by $ 50,000, which will not be returned if the claim is not ultimately accepted.

 

ARTICLE 12º. Vehicles on the route

The only vehicles authorized to follow the race are those designated by the Organization, having to visibly carry the corresponding identification. Consequently, in order to avoid any accidents to the participants, it is strictly forbidden to follow the participants on motorcycles, bicycles or other means of transportation of mechanical or animal propulsion, with the express order of Carabineros de Chile to remove them from the circuits. The security personnel of the Organization are also authorized to collaborate with the removal of these vehicles.

 

ARTICLE 13º. Responsibility

The Organization assumes no liability for the damages that can be caused to an athlete by participating in this competition, to other people and even in case third parties cause damages to the participant or the Organization. Participants declare that, by registering, they accept the above condition, and will contribute with the Organization to avoid personal accidents.

 

ARTICLE 14º.

All participants, by registering, declare to know and accept these Rules and the Statement of Disclaimer and Privacy. In case of doubt, the criteria of the Organization will prevail.

 

Statement of Disclaimer and Privacy

By the mere fact of being registered, the participant states the following:

“I am in optimal health to participate in the Santiago Marathon. In addition, I exclude the Organization, sponsors, or other participating institutions from any liability in the event of any accident or injury that may occur before, during and / or after the sporting event, waiving any legal action against any of these entities.

 

While the competition is taking place, I will contribute as much as possible to the Organization, to avoid personal accidents. I also authorize the Organization to use any picture, video and any other type of audiovisual material where I may appear for publicity purposes, accepting the publishing of my name in the classification of the challenge, in the media and / or Internet, without expecting any payment, compensation or reward for this matter.

 

I understand and accept that because it is an event that takes place on national assets for public use, the authorities of the central, regional and municipal government may impose restrictions, limitations or modifications to its layout, use, date and / or schedule, without prior notice, so that I release the Organization from all liability if any of these circumstances materializes or occurs. Likewise, I release the Organization from liability if the event has to be suspended, postponed or canceled, totally or partially, due to a fact, beyond the control of the Organization, produced or caused by a fortuitous event or force majeure.

I accept that the above is a necessary condition to receive the competition number and participate in the Santiago Marathon.

“I also accept that the Organization may store and use my personal data contained in the registration form and athletic results, and may share them with other entities and institutions.”

This document will be validated by imprinting the participant’s fingerprint at the moment of handing out the competition kit.

 

ARTICLE 15°. Applicable Rules

These Rules will regulate the registration and participation in the Santiago Marathon, together with the Competition Rules by the IAAF, the World Anti-Doping Code, and other general rules that may be applicable, in accordance with the Chilean law.

 

ARTICLE 16°. Direction

The production director will be Mr. Francisco Riquelme Duque, and the technical director of the competition will be Mr. Fernando Jamarne.
